Farmers Fare and Bay Chamber pair for Thursday concerts

Here’s a double treat: On Thursday evenings, Farmers Fare (that wonderful market and cafe in Rockport) is offering  light dinners (think soups, salads, charcuterie and cheese plates, wine and beer, and, of course dessert) before each  Bay Chamber Concert event. Those who dine also can take advantage of a free shuttle to the Rockport Opera House.  The shuttle arrives in time for the 7 p.m. pre-concert lecture and 8 p.m. concert, then returns to the market’s parking area afterward. That save the hassle of trying to find a parking place in tiny, downtown Rockport. FYI: This is Bay Chamber’s 50th anniversary season. Good food, good music, sounds good to  me!

  1. Farmer’s Fare is consistently great….I’ve yet to have a bad experience there. Last visit I had the reuben with an Eli’s lime soda….the sandwich was sublime and now i’m addicted to Eli’s. They also have such great prepared food…that day they had a curry pasta dish (there just aren’t enough places around that do curry…why is that??) and some arrancinis (italian risotto balls). I’ve had both before there….always excellent.
Related side topic, there are now 3 great places for a reuben (I’m always on the lookout for the “best of” with regards to different foods): Miranda, Morse’s, and Farmers Fare. I’m hungry.
